The 6th Annual “Ride to Remember – Yarra Valley“ will be held on
Sunday 18th November, 2018
along the picturesque Warburton Rail Trail.
Anne Jones from Healesville passed away at just 76 years old on 17 November, 2012 after suffering from Lewy Body Disease for 6 years.
The inaugural event for Ride to Remember – Yarra Valley was held on the first anniversary of the passing of this very special lady and its aim was to raise funds for Dementia Australia – Vic Division and to honour her memory .
Our fundraising total has reached $30,128.50 over the past 5 years, with the generous assistance from friends, family and anyone who has been touched by the cruel disease that is dementia.
Bryn, Kylie and Kirsty Jones will again host the family bike ride in 2018 on Sunday November 18. There are four distances to choose from so no matter what your age, fitness or experience, you can enjoy a lovely day out with family and friends and ride for a great cause.
And if you don’t ride a bike, you can run or walk the event, or just join the event for a gourmet BBQ lunch beside the Yarra River at the half-way mark at the rotunda in the Warburton Recreation Reserve. Everyone is welcome!! Please see the Registration Page for details of starting points.
Cost: $30 per adult (16 years +), $60 per family (2 adults plus 2 children under 16 years),$10 per additional child under 16 years
- 100% of the registration fee goes directly to Dementia Australia – Vic Divison, with lunch being provided with thanks to our sponsor Eric Insurance and our Volunteers
